Early Light
Proper use of light strengthens composition so much! I LOVE simple black and white image so that your eye doesn't struggle with several elements of composition (color, leading lines, contrast, etc.). This image is lovely and has room to go farther. I would bring it into Photoshop or Lightroom, mask out most of the image and focus on the waves in the bottom part, and increase the contrast (focusing on the highlights). This would give you a strong leading line that would draw you into the middle part of the image, which I am assuming is the subject.
