I first starting taking pictures for a college elective class in darkroom techniques and caught the creative photography bug. After college, when I got married and had a family, creative photography gave way to family holiday and vacation snapshots. Upon retirement in 2014, I renewed my interest in photography and was excited about the new creative possibilities inherent in digital photography and post-processing software.

I like to capture both nature and architectural/man-made subjects, isolating elements of a larger scene to create my compositions. I also particularly enjoy utilizing macro and abstract photography to bring fresh perspective to my subjects.
